Digital Cameras in 2nd Grade

5 ways to use digital cameras in the classroom:

1. During the "High in the Clouds" lesson, students will take pictures of different types of clouds. (2nd grade science)
2. Students will take pictures of people in their neighborhood who look the same or different. They will come to class with 5 pictures of different people and compare and contrast characteristics of each person. (2nd grade social studies)
3. Students will take pictures of the clock when they do certain activities during the day. They will record these activities on a "My Day" worksheet. (2nd grade fine arts)
4. Students will take pictures of their spelling words to demonstrate they know what the word is and at least one way to use it. (2nd grade language arts)
5. Students will take pictures of foods they eat that can be portionized. Ex: a student had a slice of pizza for lunch. What portion of the pizza did the student eat? (2nd grade math)
